User Interface Design

Coda Octopus Engineering employs a full suite of software engineers with expertise ranging from embedded to user interface programming. On the AQS-24 mine hunting program, they develop and upgrade all operational and mission software, including GUIs, control/data processing, and post-mission analysis. They also produce documentation like instruction manuals, FAAT, and FAT procedures.

All source code controls are maintained, and FAATs are conducted at their Salt Lake City facility. They also create change notices and ECPs as needed. Software items maintained and upgraded include:

• Topside Software: Command/control of sonar vehicle, interfacing with PDU, sonar/laser data capture and visualization, navigation/target logging, mission setup/management, and data storage for post-processing.
• Post Mission Analysis (PMA) Software: Playback and visualization of sonar/laser data and extensive navigation/target log functions.
